Every couple of months

I guess that is how often I can manage to write... and that's ok!
I'm doing ok. I'm just getting over a short but strong hit of depression. I think it was attributed to the weather but I'm going to discuss it with my Dr. tomorrow.
I just got back from the RID Region 2 conference. It was good to see people I had not seen in a long time.  The best part was the trip with Mindy F. and Dawn H.  They are good friends from DC that I realize I miss terribly! I have been remiss in keeping in touch with them. I wonder if it is because getting in touch with them is stinging reminder that I'm not with them often. I realize I am an 'out of sight out of mind' kind of person. But there are people that I want to maintain connection with and I must work through my issues.
Well.. that's all for now.

Second Post

Well... a few things have happened since that first post. Let's see.
At camp I meet up with Mindy Hopper. We've been together since then. We got a dog in Jan 05. We moved to Rochester, NY in August 2006 so she could pursue her PhD. She just finished her second year. I have been working for Interpretek since October 05 and I am currently a staff interpreter and their Corporate Trainer.

What has prompted me to start writing again is a friend who was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. She has a site here so I checked it out again.
I have recently take a few more small (very small) steps on a spiritual journey. Just looking to define a few things for myself. If I figure anything out I'll let the world know.

First Post

Well I am off to Camp Dogwood soon. (Camp for DeafBlind adults in NC on Lake Norman). Camp is always an exhausting and exciting time. I am looking forward to working hard and seeing old friends. Pat Roesel is kind enough to give me a ride and she should be here in about an hour.

I am going to take the time now to read more of Jane Eyre for my book club. I think I might actually finish this one on time. That would be a first :)

I will post more when I get back from camp on Sunday.
